Representative Text

1 As many as touched him in days long ago,
When Jesus, our Savior was living below,
The wonderful record brings joy to my soul,—
As many as touched were made perfectly whole.

Perfectly whole! perfectly whole!
The wonderful record brings joy to my soul;
Perfectly whole! perfectly whole!
As many as touched were made perfectly whole.

2 I touch thee, dear Savior, I touch thee just now,
While hoping, believing, before thee I bow,
I cast myself down, praying low at thy feet,
O make thou the work of salvation complete.

Perfectly whole! perfectly whole!
The wonderful record brings joy to my soul;
Perfectly whole! perfectly whole!
As many as touched were made perfectly whole.

3 The riches of grace are as great in this hour,
As when the great multitudes witnessed thy pow’r,
The fullness of life shall new vigor impart
And bring strength divine to the sin-stricken heart.

Perfectly whole! perfectly whole!
The wonderful record brings joy to my soul;
Perfectly whole! perfectly whole!
As many as touched were made perfectly whole.

4 No effort of mine can this blessing ensure,
Thy infinite love must accomplish the cure;
In mansions above, hallelujahs shall roll,—
As many as touched were made perfectly whole.

Perfectly whole! perfectly whole!
I trust in his promise, there’s joy in my soul;
Perfectly whole! perfectly whole!
His wonderful touch makes me perfectly whole.
