Representative Text

1 Beautiful Land of Glory,
Land of the earth made new;
Down thru the ages hoary
Shineth thy golden view.

Glory, Glory,
Beautiful Land of Glory!
Home of the true,
The earth made new,—
Beautiful Land of Glory!

2 Beautiful Land of Glory,
Peace in its fullness reigns;
Wondrous the gladsome story,
Sound out the joyful strains. [Refrain]

3 There shall be no more heartaches,
No more the toils and cares;
When in the east the day breaks,
Brightness its dawning bears. [Refrain]

4 Beautiful Land of Glory,
Land from all curse set free;
Beauteous Land of Glory,
Homeland for you and me. [Refrain]

5 Beautiful Land of Glory,
Land of the endless life;
Herald abroad the story,
Ended for aye all strife. [Refrain]

6 Beautiful Land of Glory,
Soon will God’s kingdom come;
Mortals, believe the story,
Enter this Eden home. [Refrain]
