Children of the Sabbath School

Representative Text

1 Children of the Sabbath School,
Happy and blest,
Hear ye not the wand'rers' cry
For home and rest;
Seek them out and bring them in,
Where'er they stray,
Kindly set their little feet
In wisdom's way.

2 Shall they wander far and wide,
No helper near?
Shall they still be thrust aside
Without a tear?
Lord impress us with the tho't--
Blessed to tell,
That the blood of Christ has bought
Wand'rers that fell.

3 Blessed work it is to bring
Lambs to the fold,
All the feeble, straying ones,
Precious as gold;
Happy they at last will be,
Happy in rest,
Those to whom the Lord will say,
"Come in, thou blest."
