Christmastide again is here

Representative Text

1 Christmastide again is here,
Brightest season of the year,
Lights are shining, bells are ringing,
Young and old unite in singing:
Peace on earth, good will to men!

2 Christmastide, the best on earth,
For it tells of Jesus' birth;
And this Christ-child in the manger
Saves from sin and keeps fro danger.
Peace on earth, good will to men!

3 Christmastide bids all rejoice,
Bids us sing with heart and voice,
Telling forth the blessed story,
Jesus Christ came down from glory.
Peace on earth, good will to men!

4 Christmastide bids church and home
Sing for joy: The Lord has come!
Song and sermon tell the story.
Glory in the highest, glory!
Peace on earth, good will to men!

5 Christmastide, sweet Christmastide,
Spread thy message far and wide:
Christ removes all sin and sadness
And would fill our hearts with gladness.
Peace on earth, good will to men!
