Dacă Isus Ne Conduce

Representative Text

1 Dacă Isus ne conduce
Trebuie să’nvingem!
Când stăm la luptă cu lumea
Trebuie să’nvingem!
Deşì lupta e mare,
De multeori cu rane;
Asupra vrăjmaşului
Trebuie să’nvingem!

2 Cu a Duhului putere,
Trebuie să’nvingem!
Cu a Domnului iubire,
Trebuie să’nvingem!
Cu milă şi răbdare,
Adevăr şi’ndurare;
Prin greutăţi vom trece,
Trebuie să’nvingem!

3 Toţi ca ai Domnului ostaşi,
Trebuie să’nvingem!
Şi ca creştini adevăraţi
Trebuie să’nvingem!
Nu cu puterea noastră,
Cu a Domnului mână;
Când vine spre ajutor,
Trebuie să’nvingem!

In some hymnals, the editors noted that a hymn's author is unknown to them, and so this artificial "person" entry is used to reflect that fact. Obviously, the hymns attributed to "Author Unknown" "Unknown" or "Anonymous" could have been written by many people over a span of many centuries. Go to person page >

Author: John Atkinson

His very popular hymn, "We shall meet beyond the river," was written in Jan., 1867. It appeared in Bright Jewels (to music composed for it in Feb. 1867 by Hubert P. Main), in 1869, No. 43, in 4 stanzas of 8 lines. From thence both words and music passed into I. D. Sankey's Sacred Songs & Solos, No. 109. -- John Julian, Dictionary of Hymnology (1907)… Go to person page >
