Representative Text

1 Dear Lord, you surely know I am just a stranger,
All alone life's hills I must climb;
And as I travel here, to protect from danger,
I need Thee all the time.

Refrain:
Lord, I need Thy love in the darkness of night,
I need Thy love when the sun is shining bright;
In joy and in sorrow, today and tomorrow,
I need Thee all the time. [Refrain]

2 Yes, when the way is dark, and the storms are sweeping,
And the joy bells seem not to chime;
Dear Lord, I want to feel I am in Thy keeping,
I need Thee all the time.

3 I need Thee ev'ry day as I write life's story,
need Thy love so pure and sublime;
To show me how to win the reward in glory,
I need Thee all the time. [Refrain]
