During our last fund drive a donor said this: "Covid-19 rules prevent us from singing during my husband's burial service, so we will play the tune while we read the printed words or hum along with the music." Needless to say, this testimony struck us and stuck with us. We never know on any given day how Hymnary.org will be a blessing to people, but we know that around the world, the site is making a powerful difference in the lives of many.

Thanks to all who use Hymnary.org and all who support it with gifts of time, talent and treasure. If you feel moved to support our work today with a gift of any amount and a word of encouragement, we would be grateful.

What though my joys and comfort die?
The Lord my savior liveth.
What though the darkness gather round?
Songs in the night he giveth.

1 Deiligt det er at tjene Gud,
Deiligt for Mand og for Kvinde,
Deiligt at kaste Garnet ud,
Hedningesjæle at vinde!
Glæden i Himlen bliver stor
Herligt da kvæder Englekor,
Naar sig en Synder omvender.

2 Høsten er stor og Dagen krot:
Det er ei Tid nu at hvile.
Se dog, mod Evighedens Port
Tusinde Hedninger ike!
Kristus, vort Liv, de kjende ei,–
Haabløse gaa de da sin Vei
Ind udi Dødningeriget!

3 Op da med Hjerte, Mund og Haand!
Intet vi her burde spare:
Hjertet lad fyldes af den Aand,
Som faldt paa Vidnernes Skare!
Munden fortælle alle Mand:
Nøden er stor i Hedningland,
Broderhaand burde vi række!

4 Og er du varm for herrens Sag,
Skulde du da staa tilbage?
Snart kommer Dommens store Dag:
Hvordan vil det dig behage?
Tænk, om du skuld møde frem
For at anklages haardt af Dem,
Som ei du her vilde hjælpe.

5 Sølvet og Gulet Herrens er,–
Du er ei mer end laantager;
Nu kommer Gud med det begjær:
Giv mig, hvad selv du behager!
Herre, min Gud, hvor du er mild,
Tag du af Laanet, hvad du vil,
Selv er du Rigdommens Kilde.
