Representative Text

1 Do something for somebody ev’ry day,
To help them along in the heavenly way;
A “living epistle” are you for God,
A witness for Jesus the glorified Lord.

Refrain:
Do something for somebody ev’ry day,
Go scatter some blessing along life’s way;
Give help to thy neighbor, be watchful, pray;
Do something for somebody ev’ry day,

2 Do something for somebody ev’ry day,
The one by your side may be far from life’s way;
Then bring him to Jesus this very hour,
His love has redeem’d you, go tell of his pow’r. [Refrain]

3 Do something for somebody ev’ry day,
You may not do much, you can speak, you can pray;
Whatever is done for the blessed Lord,
Sometime, ‘tis his promise, receives a reward. [Refrain]
