En las aguas de la muerte

Representative Text

1 En las aguas de la muerte,
sumergido fue Jesús,
Mas su amor no fue apagado
por sus penas en la cruz.
Levantóse de la tumba,
sus cadenas quebrantó,
Y triunfante y victorioso
a los cielos ascendió.

2 En las aguas del bautismo
hoy confieso yo mi fe:
Jesucristo me ha salvado
y en su amor me gozaré.
Me bautizo en testimonio
que a Jesús siguiendo estoy;
Desde ahora para el mundo
y el pecado muerto soy.

3 Yo que estoy crucificado,
¿Cómo más podré pecar?
Ya que estoy resucitado,
santa vida he de llevar.
Son las aguas del bautismo
mi señal de salvación,
Y yo quiero consagrarme
al que obró mi redención.
