Little Pilgrims

1 I am only a little sailor,
To stem the raging tide,
But I will not shrink or falter,
For Jesus is my guide;
Tho’ the waves may dash around me,
The winds may fiercely roar,
I will keep my eyes on Jesus,
And trust Him evermore.

2 I am only a little soldier,
To fight in this great war,
But I will not fear or tremble,
Nor give the battle o’er;
And tho’ war should rise against me,
My soul to overthrow,
I will bravely struggle onward,
And conquer every foe.

3 I am only a little Christian,
To walk at Jesus’ side,
But I’ll follow where He leads me,
Whatever may betide;
Tho’ the world may try to win me,
With pleasures rich and gay,
I will trust in God my Savior,
He’ll keep me day by day.
