Glory Be to God Forever

Representative Text

1 I can sing the glad new anthem
With the ransomed host above;
With the saved I now am sharing
In the gifts of wondrous love.

Refrain:
"Glory be to God forever,"
I can join the glad refrain;
I am numbered with the ransomed,
"Glory be to God again."

2 I can sing the glad new anthem,
I was bound, but now I’m free;
By His blood on Calvary flowing
Christ the Lord hath ransomed me. [Refrain]

3 I can sing the glad new anthem,
I was blind, but now I see;
Since I’ve turned mine eyes on Jesus
Light hath sweetly dawned on me. [Refrain]

4 Can my lips be mute then longer,
When such gifts as these are mine?
When the Savior says, so sweetly,
"All I have is freely thine." [Refrain]
