Representative Text

1 I have tasted the love of my blessed Lord,
I have learned to delight in His holy word;
With all His commands I’m in sweetest accord,
Since He bore my heart’s burden away.

Refrain:
For no burden for Him is too heavy to bear,
No sorrow His love cannot lighten;
No road is so rough that His hand cannot smooth,
No darkness that he cannot brighten.

2 There is nothing so sweet as His love to me,
For it led Him to die on the cruel tree;
‘Tis thins that has caused Him so precious to be,
Since He bore my heart’s burden away. [Refrain]

3 For His sheep never hunger while in the fold,
Unto Him they’re more precious than purest gold;
His faithfulness never by me can be told,
Since He bore my heart’s burden away. [Refrain]
