I was wandering deep in sin

1 I was wandering deep in sin when the love of God came in.
It brought me joy and wonderful peace to my soul;
God had been waiting there for me, from my sin to set me free,
I broke the lock that barred my heart, and Jesus came in.

Yes, He came in my heart to stay, cleansed and washed my sins away,
He guides my feet, He holds my hand, He's with me each day;

He paid the price that I might live again;
He died in pain at Calvary so I could live eternally,
I heard a sweet voice, I heeded the call, and Jesus came in. [Refrain]

3 My God is great, so good and kind, the truest Friend that one can find,
He is the Rock, and He's the Savior of men;
He died that we might live again, won't you heed, my sinner friend,
