During our last fund drive one donor said this: "I love hymns ... If you asked for money, it means you need it! Please keep the work going. And please, accept my widow's mite. God bless you."

She was right. We only ask for money twice a year, and we do so because we need it.

So, before you close this box and move on to use the many resources on Hymnary.org, please prayerfully consider whether you might be able to make a gift to support our work. Ich trau auf dich, o Herr

Representative Text

1 Ich trau auf dich, o Herr,
ich sage: Du bist mein Gott.
In Deiner Hand steht meine Zeit
in Deiner Hand steht meine Zeit.

2 Gelobet sei der Herr,
denn Er hat wunderbar,
Seine Liebe mir erwiesen
und Güte mir gezeigt.

3 Ich trau auf Dich, o Herr.
Mein Fels und Burg bist Du,
meine Zuversicht und Hoffnung von Jugend an.
Dir, Herr, gilt stets mein Lobgesang.

4 Verlaß mich nicht, o Herr,
beim Schwinden meiner Kraft!
Zur Zeit des Alters erzähle ich
all das, was Du gelehret mich.

5 Wer ist wie Du, o Herr,
der Du große Dinge getan?
Du machst mich lebendig und tröstest mich.
damit ich fröhlich lobe dich.
