Representative Text

1 In all we do for others, in ev’ry helping deed,
Of service to our brothers, of thought for those in need,
We serve our Shepherd tender, we please the King above,
Who asks us all to render these proofs of loyal love.

Refrain:
Then serve Him, serve Him, planning day by day,
To work for Him in this His chosen way,
For ev’ry kindness shown, His loving praise we claim,
So server Him,—serve Him,—
Do it “in His Name.”

2 Our chance to serve the Master is greater than we know,
Not only in disaster our aid we should bestow,
Each day will yield a measure of errands for our King,
And ours shall be the pleasure His counsel sweet to bring. [Refrain]

3 To serve the Elder Brother, repay His boundless love,
Each kindness to another is counted up above,
To feed or clothe the needy, to cheer the sick and sad,
Brings swift reward and speedy, brings joyful hearts and glad. [Refrain]
