Lessons at Jesus' Feet

Representative Text

1 I’ve a precious recollection, ‘twill nevermore depart,
And oh! it makes me happy all the day;
‘Tis the mem’ry of the hour when Jesus cleansed my heart,
And cast my care and sorrow far away.
I recall the happy evening I came with all my sin,
And prayed that He my waiting soul would meet;
I threw my heart’s door open, and since He’s entered in,
Oh, the lessons I have learned at Jesus’ feet.

Refrain:
He’s so gentle and so king, I’ll ever bear in mind,
His many golden promises so sweet;
They are rich and full of blessing
To those who come confessing,
And humbly seek to learn at Jesus’ feet.

2 I have found the precious fountain that brings immortal youth,
I have proved the cleansing virtue of its waves;
So I sing of full salvation, and tell the blessed truth,
That our Jesus is the Mighty One who saves.
O brother, do not grieve Him; O sister, come today;
He waits to give deliverance complete;
And when He’s sanctified you, you’ll bless His name and say,
“Oh, the lessons that I learn at Jesus’ feet.” [Refrain]
