She was right. We only ask for money twice a year, and we do so because we need it.

1 - إذا بحرُ هذي الحياةِ اضطَّربْ
وقد ضِقتَ ذرعاً وخِفتَ الفشلْ
فعُدِّ المراحمَ تلقَ العجَبْ
ويُدهِشْكَ ربي بما قد فعلْ

2 - وإن أثقلَتكَ همومُ الحياهْ
فأمسَى صليبُك لا يُحتَمَلْ
فعُدَّ المراحمَ تلقَ النجاهْ
وتُنشِدْ نشيدَ الهنا والأملْ

3 - وإن كان للغيرِ رزقٌ ومالْ
ففي وعدِ فاديك ملءُ الغِنى
وعُدٌّ المراحمَ، ليست تُنالْ
سماءٌ بمالٍ ولا تُقتَنى

4 - فلا يهِنِ العزمُ منك ولا
تخَفْ، إن ربَّك فوقَ الجميعْ
وعُدَّ المراحمَ، جندُ العُلى
تحوطُك دوماً بسورٍ منيعْ
