Hugh Thomson Kerr (1872-1950)

Kerr attended the University of Toronto and Western Theological Seminary, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Ordained a Presbyterian minister, he pastored in Kansas and Illinois, and at the Shadyside Presbyterian Church, Pittsburgh (1913-1946). A pioneer in religious broadcasting, his 1922 Christmas Day sermon was broadcast to the North and South Poles by radio station KDKA.
