source of life and happiness!
In this name true consolation
mourning sinners may possess;
here is found complete salvation.
Blessed Jesus, we your name will praise

God made known in human frame;

since to save the lost he came;
none need sink in hopeless sadness,

Author: Benjamin La Trobe

La Trobe, Benjamin, was born in Dublin, April 19, 1725, and educated at the University of Glasgow. He entered the Ministry of the Moravians, and subsequently became superintendent of that body in England. He died Nov. 29, 1786.
