Representative Text

1 “Lead us not into temptation,”
Heav’nly Father, guard and guide,
Shield us with Thy great salvation,
Keep us near the Savior’s side.

Refrain:
May Thy love in us abide;
Keep us near the Savior’s side;
“Lead us not into temptation,”
Heav’nly Father, guard and guide.

2 Help us do as we are bidden,
Heeding when Thy voice we hear;
In the Rock of Ages hidden,
Let Thy grace in us appear. [Refrain]

3 Lead us on in paths of blessing,
Helping others as we go;
All we need, in Thee possessing,
May our light shine out below. [Refrain]

4 “Lead us not into temptation,”
Lord, deliver us from ill;
Thine the praise and adoration,
Kingdom, power and glory still. [Refrain]
