1 Let us linger at the cross,
’Tis the place of humble prayer,
Where the soul exchanges loss
For the gain it treasures there.
’Tis the place where Jesus meets
All who come to seek relief,
Bring your burden at His feet,
He allays the deepest grief.

2 Let us linger at the fount,
Whence the healing waters flow,
And the peace upon the mount
Where His fullness we may know.
Where the glory of His grace
And His power of pardon meet
All who linger at the place,
All who bow at Jesus’ feet.
