His educational background includes a Bachelor of Music degree from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota, a Master of Sacred Music degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia.
