Representative Text

1 Lord, take my heart today
And make it Thine.
Take ev’ry thing away
I’ve counted mine;
Then consecrate and hallow me,
That thro’ no careless service
Might I dishonor Thee.

Refrain:
Come, Lord, and take my guilt away.
May I Thy law and will obey;
From this old world Oh, set me free.
Then come and make Thy home,
Thy dwelling, Thy throne in me.

2 O, still my soul for me
That I may hear
A message straight from Thee
Of hope and cheer,
Of calm assurance, joy, and peace;
And thus my faith in Jesus
Shall day by day increase. [Refrain]

3 O, make my mind as pure
As Thine above.
May all my tho’ts endure
Upon Thy love.
Then stir me, Lord, that I may see
The joy of loving service
In working here for Thee. [Refrain]
