Lovet være Herren, som

Lovet være Herren, som

Representative Text

1 Lovet være Herren, som
Bore Sjæle vilde mætte
I sit Hus og Helligdom,
Og et Himmelbord anrette!
Herren være evig priset,
Som har os saa vel bespiset!

2 Nu, vor Gjerning her er endt,
Og Velsignelsen vi eie,
Er vort Sind til Hjemmet vendt,
Der vi vil paa Herrens veie
Efterleve, hvad vi lære,
Herrens Navn til Lov og Ære!

3 Følg saa med os ud og ind,
Hjertefromme Gud og Fader!
Hold ved Ordet fast vort Sind,
Saa vi aldrig dig forlader,
Men, naar Verdens Strid er omme,
Vi til dig i Himlen komme.
