Cristo Me Protege

Representative Text

1 Não sou capaz de compreender
O que meu Deus propõe fazer,
Mas sei que todo o Seu poder,
Em Cristo, me protege.

2 Eu creio que Ele me buscou,
Que foi por mim que ali penou,
Que perdoado nEle estou,
Meu Salvador bendito!

3 Parece estranho que Jesus
Deixasse o resplendor da luz
E aqui morresse sobre a cruz,
Mas quis do mal salvar-me!

4 Que, satisfeito, veja em mim,
Outrora pecador ruim,
Cumprido mesmo até ao fim
O empenho da Sua alma!

5 Com alegria O louvarei,
Porque deveras, bem o sei,
Quem vive para ser meu Rei
Morreu, meu Substituto!
