Representative Text

1 None the love of Christ can measure,
None its depths can ever tell,
None can estimate the tree
Held by those who with him dwell.

Refrain:
On the cross his life did Jesus give for me;
What a Saviour! Hallelujah!
There he died for me who was his enemy;
What a Saviour I have found!

2 O how wondrous is the story!
That his pardon I might claim
Jesus left the realms of Glory
And on earth a man became.

3 Heavy-laden I approached him,
Sorrow filled my aching heart,
But the blessèd word was spoken,
Bidding all my fear depart.

4 Hope each guilty soul may cherish,
Trembling hearts need not despair,
Jesus died that none might perish,
He for all sin’s curse did bear.
