1 O Ægtestand,
Du høilyksalig est,
Naar Gud og Mand,
Vor Jesus, bydes kan
Til din kjærlig' Bryllupsfest!
Thi dersom midt i din Fryd
En Unlyd
Af Korset falder ind,
Som trykker Sjæel og Sind,
Fattes Vin og Glæede-Stand,
Og dit Kar er fuldt af Vand,
Jesus dig dog hjælpe kan.

2 O Jesus, som Gjør
Vin af Sorgens Aa,
Vær dog saa from
Og til vort Bryllup kom,
Hvor du bønlig kaldes paa!
Lad dog din
Hjælp og din Trøst Være Øit
For alle Ægtepar
I deres tomme Kor!
Lad din Naades rige Flod
Give deres Sorger Bod,
Sign dem du og vær dem god!
