1 Oh, the priceless love of Jesus!
Oh, the strength of grace divine!
All His gifts are shower'd upon me,
All His blessings may be mine;
He is thron'd in heav'nly glory,
Where no sin nor death can be;
Yet He loves me in this darkness,
Yet He does not turn from me.
2 I am blind, and poor, and wretched,
By temptations sorely tried;
Yet, His watchful care abounding,
Keeps me ever at His side;
He is God and King Eternal,
Higher than all height can be;
Yet His Heart is with me always,
Yet He stoopeth down to me.
3 Storms of sorrow roll around me,
Darkling clouds above me meet;
But I hasten to my refuge
At my Saviour's wounded Feet.
O how lovingly, my Jesus,
Thou dost with me ever bear;
I can never, never, thank Thee
For Thy goodness and Thy care.
4 When the brooding darkness hides me
Bitter tears of pain I weep;
But, Thou loving One, Thou healest
All my sorrow dark and deep.
Oh, Thy priceless love, my Jesus!
Human love and love divine;
Thou art gentle, Thou art mighty;
All Thy Sacred Heart is mine.
