Representative Text

1 Often I've heard of heaven, wonderful country somewhere,
Beautiful story of glory, land of delight so fair;
Eden, sweet home up yonder, Jesus has gone to prepare us a home,
Sweet home I shall soon be there.

Refrain:
Home over yonder
Beautiful home somewhere,
Home beautiful, beautiful home,
Some day I shall reach my sweet home.

2 Often we sing the story, beautiful story so sweet,
often we hear of its glory where the redeemed ones meet;
Waiting till Jesus calls me, then I shall rest with the good and the blest,
My glory will be complete.[Refrain]

3 Often I dream of glory, visions so lovely and fair,
I am so happy in Jesus, longing to be up there;
Blessed Redeemer's coming, then I shall go to that beautiful shore,
Forever at home somewhere. [Refrain]
