Representative Text

1 Our sorrows all, will be over when we get home,
For God shall gather His children around His throne;
Our hearts, there, nothing can sever,
Goodby’s are spoken there, never,
We’ll be with Jesus forever when we get home.

Refrain:
When we get home,
When we get home,
Our sorrows all will be over, when we get home.

2 The glorious face of our Saviour we shall behold,
And know that half of the story was never told,
Our crowns we’ll lay at His feet,
And the dear old story repeat;
For our peace and joy will be sweet when we all get home. [Refrain]

3 The cares and burdens we bear on our homeward way,
Will seem as naught in the light of that glorious day;
We’ll walk, by faith, in the light,
To the home-land, where is no night;
O what glories will burst on our sight when we all get home. [Refrain]
