Representative Text

1 Precious moments come and go in their never-ceasing flow,
Each a priceless treasure brings to you and me;
Each its golden nugget bears, and a blessing for earth’s cares,
If we only would the vision see.

Chorus:
Then we’ll bravely take our cross and follow him,
And his righteous cause defend:
As the moments come and go, precious time in ceaseless flow,
We’ll tell his love until the end.

2 Precious moments for us all—soon they’re gone beyond our call,
And their inspiration ne’er returns again;
But the “good we all may do,” by our lives, to Jesus true,
We should hasten forth to tell all men. [Chorus]

3 Precious moments bringing light to a world of sin and night,
And a Savior’s love, so full and free for all,
‘Wait the hand and willing heart precious blessings to impart—
“Go and teach them,” hear the Master’s call. [Chorus]

4 O, the ever-passing hours—see! the present still is ours!
Let us make it rich with heav’nly peace and love:
Many ways to show his grace, and the smiling of his face,
Jesus sends us from the home above. [Chorus]
