Representative Text

1 Rejoice in the Lord, all ye lands of the earth,
Give thanks for his mercy today;
For he is our King, and we tell of his worth,
And bow at his altar to pray.

Refrain:
Rejoice in the Lord!
Rejoice in the Lord!
His grace shall sustain us forever!
Our souls from his love naught can sever!
Then joyfully sing, your glad anthem bring,
Proclaim him our King!

2 Rejoice in the Lord, for his promise is sure;
His word is the hope of each heart;
The gospel of truth shall forever endure,
Its glory shall never depart. [Refrain]

3 Rejoice in the Lord, for his honor we sing,
And join in the praise of his name;
Our Savior, our Friend, and our Heavenly King,
Oh, hail him with joyful acclaim. [Refrain]
