Representative Text

1 The way to heaven is a blood-stained way,
Marked by the blood of the Lamb;
And happy pilgrims travel there today,
Washed in the blood of the Lamb.

Chorus:
A blood-stained way, there's no other way,
All glory to the precious Lamb of God;
Come and journey there to the mansions fair,
All glory to the Lamb of God.

2 I'll follow Jesus on the blood-stained way,
Marked by the blood of the Lamb;
I'll trust His keeping and His word obey,
Washed in the blood of the Lamb. [Chorus]

3 My cross I'll carry on the blood-stained way,
Marked by the blood of the Lamb;
Thro' ev'ry shadow, there's a golden ray,
Bought by the blood of the Lamb. [Chorus]

4 I'll lead the straying in the blood-stained way,
Marked by the blood of the Lamb;
To shine as jewels in the crowning day,
Praise to the blood of the Lamb. [Chorus]
