Sparks, Anita Lance. (New Albany, Indiana, September 27, 1922-- ). Presbyterian. Attended Asbury College, Wilmore, Kentucky, before marrying (1944) Lorne A. Sparks, then a Methodist minister in Florida. They served as missionaries at Canton, China, from January 1947 until Jun 1949. After further duty in the U.S., they moved to Canada in 1958. Constantly involved with choirs (especially at Lucknow, Ontario, 1968-1975), she wrote words and music for them as the need arose. In 1973, she began to publish her work privately. --Hugh D.
