Representative Text

1 There’s rejoicing in the presence of the angels
Over sinners coming home,
All the heav’nly harpers with a mighty chorus,
Now are praising round the throne.

Refrain:
Then rejoice, all ye ransomed,
Let your praises reach to heaven’s highest dome,
For the dead’s alive, the lost is found, and wand’rers
Now are coming, coming home.

2 Oh, how happy is the sinner who has tasted
Of the Savior’s wond’rous love,
Love, that bringeth peace and joy, which passeth knowledge,
Ever given from above. [Refrain]

3 IN the home where once was strife, and pain, and sorrow,
There’ll be blessed peace and joy,
Pray’r and praise to God around the family altar
Will the pow’r of sin destroy. [Refrain]

4 We will rally round the standard of our Savior;
And to others loudly call,
Come, ye sinners, and repent, believe in Jesus,
He will freely pardon all. [Refrain]
