God Always Helps

1 These words I inwardly repeat
When trials seem too hard to meet;
When thoughts of doubt rise in the way,
I look them in the face and say:

Refrain:
God always helps, our way He guides
And His dear love each day provides;
His blessings round about us flow,
O world, lift up your head, and know--
God always helps.

2 And when my path I cannot see,
And nothing is revealed to me,
I know I do not need to fear;
I stand and wait for mists to clear. [Refrain]

3 I speak these words mid noise and strife,
When in the rush of city life;
They lift from me the weight of care
Like promised answer to a prayer. [Refrain]
