Thou reignest, O Lord, thy throne is high

Thou reignest, O Lord, thy throne is high

Published in 4 hymnals

Representative Text

1 Thou reign'st, O Lord, thy throne is high,
Thy robes are light and majesty;
Thy pow'r is sov'reign to fulfil
The holy counsels of thy will.

2 Thy will be don on earth below
As 'tis in heav'n; thy grace bestow
On us and all, may we and they
Renounce our wills, and thine obey.

3 While all the hosts of heaven rejoice
To yield obedience to thy voice;
In constancy, and zeal, and love,
May we resemble those above.
