Throned on a cloud the Judge will come

Throned on a cloud the Judge will come

Tune: MEAR
Published in 3 hymnals

Representative Text

1 Throned on a cloud, the Judge will come,
Bright flames prepare his way;
Thunder and darkness, fire and storm,
Lead on the dreadful day.

2 No more shall bold blasphemers say,
"Judgment will ne'er begin;"
No more abuse his long delay
By carelessness and sin.

3 Then shall the Lord a refuge prove
For all his poor oppressed,
To save the people of his love,
And give the weary rest.
