Representative Text

1. Thy Word, O Lord to us is sweet,
A lamp to guide our wayward feet,
And light the way that leads to God,
By weary ones so often trod.
When shadows fall, and life seems drear,
When darkest gloom surrounds us here,
Be Thou our guide, be Thou our stay,
And lead us in the narrow way,
The blessèd way.

2. O Jesus, Lord, teach us to pray;
Help us to serve Thee day by day;
And by Thy Book of truth divine,
May we be pure and wholly Thine;
O light of life, O light of love,
The Spirit’s gift, sent from above,
We’ll follow where Thou leadst the way,
And safely reach the realms of day,
The glorious day.
