She was right. We only ask for money twice a year, and we do so because we need it.

إلهها المنّانْ
وللذي يختارُهُ
لنفسهِ الرحمانْ
من السموات العُلى
إلهنا نظرْ
ومن مكان قدسهِ
رأى بني البشرْ

2 قلوبهم صوَّرَها
رب السما المرهوبْ
ينظر كل فعلِهمْ
ويفحص القلوبْ
ليس الخلاص للقوي
بكثرة الأجنادْ
ولا بقوةٍ بدتْ
مِن حكمهِ القُوّادْ

3 ها هو ذا عينُ العَلي
على منِ اتَّقاهْ
ومَن ترَجى رحمةً
تُنال من عُلاهْ
فهو المنجي المُفتدي
مخلص النفوسْ
في الجوع يُحيي شعبَهُ
وهو العلي القدوسْ

4 انتظرَت أنفسُنا
حافظَنا الأمينْ
فإنه عون لنا
وحصننا الحصينْ
قد اتكلنا كلنا
على اسمه الرهيبْ
قلوبنا يُفرحها
