When He Died For Me

Representative Text

1 Upon a hill before me,
A blood-stained cross I see;
Behold, the Savior suffers,
The Man of Galilee.

Refrain:
When He died for me,
When He died for me,
Jesus purchased my salvation,
When He died for me.

2 I see this Man of Sorrows,
As He came down from Heav’n;
Despised, condemned, rejected,
That I might be forgiv’n. [Refrain]

3 Just how His blood redeemed me,
I do not understand,
But this I know, He liveth,
And my redemption planned. [Refrain]

4 His love is so amazing,
His grace so rich and free,
Abundantly provided,
Upon Mount Calvary. [Refrain]
