Representative Text

1 We are pilgrims to a better land,
We are marching onward hand in hand;
Soon Jerusalem will come in sight,
With its palaces of golden light.

Refrain:
We are marching on, to the land of love,
Marching on, marching on to the home above,
Soon Jerusalem will appear in sight,
With its palaces of golden light.

2 In the name of Jesus we will go,
To the land where crystal fountains flow,
To the home where parting is no more,
And the saved shall rest forevermore. [Refrain]

3 Come and join our happy pilgrim band,
And go with us to the better land,
Where the saints are robed in purest white,
In the palaces of golden light. [Refrain]
