We will sing the praise of Jesus when we all get home

Author: Elisha A. Hoffman
Tune: [What a scene of wondrous glory]
Published in 10 hymnals

Representative Text

1 We will sing the praise of Jesus,
When we all get home,
We will sing the praise of Jesus,
When we all get home;
With millions round the throne,
With the myriads of his own,
We will make his glory known,
When we all get home.

Refrain:
When we all get home over there,
When we all get home over there,
O how happy we will be
When his glory we shall see,
When we all get home over there.

2 All our trials will be over,
When we reach our home,
All our trials will be over,
When we reach our home;
How happy we will be,
From all sin and sorrow free,
Thro’ along eternity,
In our heav’nly home. [Refrain]

3 We will see our precious Savior,
When we all get home;
We will see our precious Savior,
When we all get home;
His glory we shall see,
And thro’ all eternity,
O how happy we shall be,
In our heav’nly home. [Refrain]
