Welcome Thou Blessed Redeemer

Representative Text

1 Welcome, thou blessed Redeemer,
Into this poor heart of mine;
Take away all its defilement,
Fill with thy Spirit divine;
Come and abide with me, Jesus,
Never, oh never depart;
On thee I cast ev'ry burden,
Help me and comfort my heart.

Refrain:
Welcome, dear Saviour,
Come, and abide with me now,
Blessed Redeemer,
Low at thy feet I bow.

2 When thro' dark shadows I'm passing,
Be thou my refuge and guide,
Guard me in ev'ry temptation,
Safely in thee let me hide;
Satisfied only with Jesus,
Thou art the fairest to me;
Gladly I'll sing of thy mercy,
Tell of thy love full and free. [Refrain]
