Full Text

1 When the light of the Lord shines within my heart,
There is joy thro’ the live-long day;
And a wonderful peace that will ne’er depart,
While I walk in the narrow way.

Refrain:
Let the light of the Lord shine in,
Let the light of the Lord shine in,
Then His love divine
On your path will shine,
When the light of the Lord shines in.

2 When the Prince of this world tempts my soul to sin,
Then the workings of grace begin;
By the help of the Lord I shall vict’ry win,
For the light of His love shines in. [Refrain]

3 There are blessings unnumbered of grace and love,
On my pathway the Lord bestows;
And my fellowship sweet with this Friend above
Ev’ry day sweeter, brighter grows. [Refrain]

4 When the light of the Lord shines within my heart,
Nevermore shall I lonely be;
Then thro’ wonderful grace when this life is o’er,
‘Twill be joy when His face I see. [Refrain]
