When this poor heart is burdened with grief

Author: George C. Hugg
Tune: [Jesus Knows]
Published in 8 hymnals

Representative Text

1 When this poor heart is burdened with grief,
Nobody knows like Jesus!
When at the Cross I cry for relief,
Nobody knows like Jesus!

Chorus:
Nobody knows like Jesus!
Nobody knows like Jesus!
Precious Redeemer, Brother and Friend,
Nobody knows like Jesus!

2 When on the mount of joy and delight,
Nobody knows like Jesus!
When faith uplifts to mansions so bright,
Nobody knows like Jesus! [Chorus]

3 All that I am, or ever shall be,
Nobody knows like Jesus!
All there remains in glory for me,
Nobody knows like Jesus! [Chorus]
