1 When thy work of life is over,
And the evening time shall come,
Angel bands will waft thee yonder
To the Father's blissful home.
Chorus:
There are many, many mansions bright,
There are snowy, snowy robes of white,
There are shining, shining crowns of gold
In the Savior's blessed fold.
2 When thy sheaves are cut and garnered,
And thy arduous toil is o'er,
Then a rich reward awaits thee
Over on the golden shore. [Chorus]
3 Work then with a willing spirit,
And a willing, steady hand;
Soon the Lord will come to take thee
Over to the better land. [Chorus]
