1 Where spend eternity
When earth is gone?
Where will my spirit be
As time goes on?
Earth’s pleasures cannot stay,
Soon, soon they pass away,
Then comes the long, long day,
Eternity.

2 Choose now thy future home,
Choose, weary soul,
Where through eternity
Ages may roll.
Serve faithfully while here,
Bring Christ some souls to cheer,
Love God, then never fear
Eternity.

3 Leaves have their time to fall,
All nature dies,
But we have hope of life,
Beyond the skies.
Joy may be ever thine,
Through Jesus Christ divine,
Heav’n may be thine and mine,
Eternally.

Will Lamartine Thompson (1847-1909) Born: November 7, 1847, East Liverpool, Ohio. Died: September 20, 1909, New York, New York. Buried: Riverview Cemetery, East Liverpool, Ohio.
