Representative Text

1 Working for the Master, day by day;
Pressing bravely onward, in his way;
Caring not for riches, pow’r or fame;
Doing deeds of love and kindness in his name.

Refrain:
Working day by day, in his holy way;
Looking up to him in prayer,
Trusting him in joy or care;
Striving to obey, mercy’s debt to pay;
Working for our Lord and Master, day by day.

2 Working for the Master, day by day;
Asking him to lead us, lest we stray;
Onward tow’rd the prize our way we make;
Sharing one another’s burdens, for his sake. [Refrain]

3 Working for the Master, day by day;
Walking in his footsteps all the way;
Looking unto him who reigns above;
Ever finding strength and guidance in his love. [Refrain]
