Altamente os Céus Proclamam

Representative Text

1. Altamente os céus proclamam
Seu divino Criador
Anuncia o firmamento
Tuas obras, ó Senhor!
Incessantes, noite e dia
Dão sinais do Teu poder,
Sem palavras proclamando:
“Deus é excelso no saber”.

2. Majestoso, o Sol caminha
Pelos céus com resplendor,
Exultando em seu percurso,
Enche o mundo de calor!
Tua lei, quão preciosa!
Brilha mais que a clara luz,
Esclarece as nossas mentes,
Guia as almas a Jesus.

3. Eis as fontes cristalinas
D’águas vivas a jorrar:
Nelas podem vir Teus filhos
Sua sede saciar.
Que felizes habitantes
Viverão p’ra sempre ali!
Ó, que paz, que alegria
Há de ser, Sião, em Ti!

O DU LIEBE MEINER LIEBE (Thommen)

Originally a folk song ("Sollen nun die grünen Jahre") dating from around 1700, O DU LIEBE MEINER LIEBE was used as a hymn tune in the Catholic hymnal Bambergisches Gesangbuch (1732).
